Show nested Customer:Job hierarchy in billable-to Customer field

My clients use Customers and Sub-customers (aka Customer:Job). I would like to see them in a nested format, alphabetical by Parent level, so the parent-child relationship is clear.

Some of my customers have multiple levels of sub-sub-customers so it might get a little tricky but sure would be helpful if the hierarchy was either searchable or matched the QBO alphabetical/nested hierarchy. Thanks!

right now, the drop down looks like this (aka order is random and not nested):
