Transactions Disappear After Month Closes

I would like to be able to lock the previous month in my accounting software so the client can't make random changes to income. However, if I lock the month, then those month's uncategorized expenses disappear from Uncat. I would like those expenses to stay in uncat and allow the client to categorize them, and then I sync to the accounting software during a brief unlocked period.
